Pink & Yellow Media is the embodiment of creative work produced by Angela Chih and Morten Rand-Hendriksen. The name stems from the time when they both worked in television where it was discovered that when on camera together Angela would either be too yellow or Morten be too pink.
Morten Rand-Hendriksen (Creative Director) is a Norwegian expatriate with a passion for code and beauty. He splits his time between designing and developing complex WordPress-based websites, taking photos and playing music. An HTML, CSS and WordPress expert he teaches and writes educational articles on web design and helps people and companies solve web related problems. He has published two books on Microsoft Expression Web, has written for Computer Arts and is a regular contributor to the Microsoft Expression Newsletter. He also publishes articles on web design, WordPress customization and Expression Web on his popular design and development blog Design is Philosophy. He also does live presentations and demos on WordPress and Expression Web and has presented at WordCamp Whistler, Make Web Not War and several other live and online events. For his work with Expression Web he has been awarded with two consecutive Microsoft MVP Awards.
As a side note Morten also has a background in television working for Rogers Sportsnet (technical producer) and Shaw TV (Inscriber operator).
Angela Chih (Producer) is a producer whose attention to detail borders on the super-human. With a background in television she has produced shows for the CBC and CityTV and Shaw TV and she has also worked in the film industry as a production manager. After over 10 years in the broadcasting industry Angela moved to narrowcasting creating a series of high-quality videos for the web under the name Dabbler.ca. She was one of the first Canadians to become a YouTube Partner and her YouTube videos (110 in all) have been viewed over 12 million times as of April 2010.
More than just producing content for the web and television, Angela is an expert event producer. Most notably she produced the hugely successful 12×12 Vancouver Photo Marathon and the following 12×12 Raw Talent exhibition that hosted 60 photographers and over 300 guests.
